Thailand and Vietnam

I started to plan this travel when I had the immense pleasure to be invited in a friend’s wedding in Hanoi (Vietnam). At that time I was doing a Phd and I was under lots of stress and then I found in this occasion a way to relax. In addition, instead to go just in Vietnam I decided to start my travel earlier in Thailand as lonely backpackers.

My starting point was Bangkok where I stayed for around 1 week. However after few days in the city I decided to do day trip in locations outside Bangkok as Ayuttaya (The Acient city) and the Damnoen Saduak floating market. I also saw a professinal Thai box match in the oldest and greatest stadium called “Rajadamnerm”. During the permanence in Bangkoc I had the immense plesure to meet travellers from all over the word and one also from my same hometown (Palermo, Sicily). At some point I decided that was the moment to go in the extreme south and more specifically I went in Pucket. Here I arrived not very healtly to be honest. I was feeling sick with fever and stomach pain. However these problems did not stop me to travel and explore. I went also in many Islands as Koh Phi Phi, James bond island, Coconut island and few more now difficult to remember. Of course I visited the city of Pucket and surroundings including the beaches of Patong, Karon, Kata, Kata Noi. I also arrived to see the sunset in the southest view point of the peninsula, Promthep Cape. Also here I met very interesting travellers and locals. Anyway below few images of my time in Thailand:

After two weeks of travelling in Thailand then from Pucket I come back to Bangkok to take a direct flight for Hanoi. In Hanoi finally I met all my friends coming from different places because of the wedding. Since the arrive and for a couple of days we had time to explore Hanoi and prepare for the wedding ceremony. After the wedding we decided to travel all together around Vietnam. We visited mainly Da nang (famous for its beach and sea food), Hue (The imperial city), Hoi An (the lantern city) and the Hoa Nghiem cave. However we stopped along the road in many other places. Below the image of this incredible second part of my travel in Vietnam:
